This extra thick and creamy hummus recipe with our Koroneiki EVOO is one you don’t want to miss! With a few staple ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen, you can make homemade hummus that tastes even better than store bought. This recipe is also easily customizable, and you can add olive, artichokes, roasted red peppers, or truly any seasoning you like!
- 1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1/3 cup Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to a high speed blender or food processor. Blend for 2-3 minutes, and then taste for salt and pepper. If the mixture is too thick, add about 1/4 cup of warm water and continue to blend for another 2-3 minutes. The key to smooth, thick, and creamy hummus is blending or processing it for a long time. It is well worth it! Store your hummus in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 5 days. Enjoy!
