Crushed Jalapeño Habanero Olive Oil Pizza

Turn up the heat on pizza night! 🌶️🍕

Ingredients:

  • 1 ball of pizza dough (store bought or homemade – we love using Oak N Egg’s dough mix
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ½ cup cooked meat of your choice (vegetarian options – substitute with mushrooms or soy chorizo)
  • Our favorites are - Italian sausage, salami, meatballs, or grilled chicken
  • 2-3 tbsp Wild Groves Crushed Jalapeño Habanero Olive Oil
  • 1 handful fresh arugula
  • Pinch of salt

 * Optional (but highly recommended) 1-2 tbsp Wild Groves Hot Chili Pepper Balsamic Vinegar 

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 475-500°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  2. Roll or stretch your dough into a 10-12 inch circle. Place on a floured surface or parchment paper.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, then layer with red onion and your choice of protein.
  5. Transfer to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and top with fresh arugula. Drizzle generously with Wild Groves Crushed Jalapeño Habanero Olive Oil and finish with a pinch of salt.

* For an extra kick of sweet heat, add a drizzle of Wild Groves Hot Chili Pepper Balsamic Vinegar.
