That perfect side dish (Bacon Wrapped Asparagus)
It doesn’t get any easier than Bacon 🥓 wrapped asparagus. This side dish is delicious, doesn’t have a lot of steps, and is baked right in your oven.
Ingredients:
- 1 Bunch of Asparagus
- 1 Package of your favorite Bacon
- 1 Drizzle of Wild Grove’s Robust Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- (Optional a dash of Wild Grove’s Pink Himalayan Sea Salt) The Bacon is already salty enough, so this step can be skipped. I just really like salt!
- Â Sprinkle with Pepper to your liking
 Directions:
1. Rinse, and pat dry your Asparagus. To get the most tender pieces, simply bend by holding both the top and bottom. The Asparagus will naturally break where it should.
2. Give it a generous drizzle of Wild Grove’s Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3. The Bacon is already salty enough (So this step can be skipped)
4. I personally love lots of Pepper on everything, so add your desired amount.
5. I like to slice my bacon pieces in half long ways, as to give a good Bacon to Asparagus ratio. Start at the top of the Asparagus and wrap your bacon over the top at an angle. It creates a triangle that will keep it tucked as you are wrapping the rest of the Asparagus. The remainder of the Bacon can be wrapped straight down, it’s just the very top that I angle. While I spiral the rest of it down. Once all pieces have been wrapped.
6. I place them on wire racks slightly suspended over a foil lined baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. At the very end I switch to broil, to crisp the bacon. (If you like your bacon extra crispy, you could always partially cook, let cool, and then wrap the Asparagus). But for the sake of this recipe, I kept it simple by baking only. Then a light broil for crisping. I hope you enjoy these as much as we do!
