Chocolate Chunk Olive Oil Granola

Craving a decadent way to start your day? This Chocolate Chunk Olive Oil Granola is the perfect morning treat that satisfies that chocolate craving! It pairs perfectly with yogurt, milk, or fruit, and is also delicious on top of a smoothie for a little added crunch. Add in your favorite dried fruits and nuts and you've got a delicious granola!

 

Chocolate Chunk Olive Oil Granola Recipe:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup puffed rice cereal
  • 1 cup chopped raw nuts (almonds, cashews, or walnuts)
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp sea salt 
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup, agave, or honey
  • 1/2 cup Wild Groves Chocolate Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 340 degrees F.
  2. Add the oats, puffed rice cereal, nuts, chia seeds, salt, and cocoa powder to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the olive oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until melted and combined. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix well. 
  4. Spread the mixture evenly onto a lined baking sheet and add the chocolate chips/chunks on top.
  5. Bake the granola for 17-24 minutes (or until fragrant and golden brown).
  6. Let cool completely and enjoy. Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 weeks.
