Apple Salad with White Balsamic Vinegar

Crisp apples meet bright white balsamic for a fresh, perfectly balanced bite. 🍎

Ingredients:

Dressing

 

Salad

  • 5 ounces mixed greens
  • 1 large red apple (Dewey's favorite is Cosmic Crisp)
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (substitute with grated gouda or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup caramelized roasted pecans

    Directions:

    1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper until emulsified. Alternatively, you can drizzle and assemble the ingredients directly over the salad without whisking first if preferred. 
    2. Add the mixed greens to a large serving bowl. 
    3. Slice the apple into very thin slices or bite sized chunks and add them to the greens. 
    4. Sprinkle in the blue cheese crumbles. 
    5. Pour dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine. 
    6. Finish by arranging any remaining apple slices on top, along with the caramelized roasted pecans.
